OMG! My father had to cook the crab feast for his club. I don't even know why he volunteered for the task. I come home and there's a huge crate of LIVE devils sitting in the kitchen floor. He made me take out huge tongs and get the lil buggers out of the crate into huge steaming pots. Let me say from experience that crabs do no like to be handled. They started escaping from the crate and running all over the floor. Me being a girl... I SCREAMED FOR DEAR LIFE. I have never been so terrified! After we put them in the pots, a half cooked crab attempted to climb out of the pot and scamper away. My father caught him though, just in the nick of time. It's kind of sad, how they are cooked alive and all... but I think they deserve it. Like, these demons were really trying to fight me! Claws raised and all. The one I name Jimmy was cussing at me in his head, "SQUARE UP BITCH!" I heard him, lol.

I don't want a very decent fashion community to be bogged down by sales posts because they spark chain reactions. I decided it was time a new community be born:

This past Saturday I had a family reunion. To be exact "The Lake Family Reunion." If you hadn't already guessed my name is Kristin Lake. Kristin Lasha Lake to be exact [but I put a Y on the end of my middle name because my father is an idiot who can not spell]. This reunion is my dad's mother's side of the family. They are from Denton, Maryland which is country as hell. They consider us city folk and we're only from Wilmington, Delaware. Most of my family members are much darker than I am. You all know I have freckles... my father does also. His mother had freckles, and her father whose last name was Greenage looked like a white man. That's how I got to be so light. For the most part, my cousins are all under the age of 12, but I [re]met my cousin William [age 18] who looks like he could be my blood brother. And... his last name is Lake... which is almost unheard of because the original Lakes had about 6 daughters and they married and names were changed.
This video below is just some random flick of my sister [in the blue shirt], my cousin Saharra [yes like the desert], and her brother also my cousin, Marquon.
disclaimer: Saharra is ghetto fabulous and she uses the N-word. I'm sorry if anyone finds this offensive... but our reactions in the video are so damn funny. Enjoy!

The girls and I decided to go to Philadelphia [south street]. The night was extremely eventful. We got lost in the Old City, stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours, hit on by random drunk men, got invited and then uninvited to a bar, took pictures, ran from a homeless woman that was eating her fingers, saw TIM STEADE!, and got cussed at by a gay dude wearing braids. Good times.
Run down: We were standing by the South Street bridge and this drunk guy was hanging out of his car yelling at us as he was riding by. We just waved and laughed. Ten minutes later the dude appears behind us. You know I had to get him on camera! The white boy is an after thought, lol. The photos are posted at pereux there's a link below.

My friends laughed hysterically when they saw me roll up in dark blue denim with these strapped to my feet. "Reeboks though?!" They all shouted. Okay, forgive me... no one in their right mind considers Reeboks a hot commodity, but when they are cheap and old-school, why the hell not? I mean, maybe about 10 years ago when we were 8 ya'll were rocking the Reeboks like it wasn't nothing. But now... they are laughable? Well, I'm bringing them BACK! Yeah yeah you know it. Just like adidas shell toes are "cool" now. High-top reeboks are about it be it. I will make sure. I was thinking about painting them, but I don't know how well the leather would hold paint. I need to find some gold sneakers though.

I've struck it rich... okay well not really. KarmaLoop is having a sale on some KEEP sneakers. I've narrowed it down to two pairs:
The Ramos in Gray Magic Print
and...
The Ramos in White Picnic Plaid
I picked these two because they are chill colors that will match alot of things. I need a new white[ish] kinda of shoe, like a knock-around. The Reebok Freestyle's are looking nice, but Reebok's break down too easily for me. I've only had one pair in my life. Also, wtf could I wear with these keep shoes? Specifically, what type of jeans? Skinnies? Bootcut? Slouch Straight-Legged? Flares are completely out of the question, lol.

So of course I have been wanting a new lomo camera. I currently have Holga [sans flash] and your standard Polaroid600 that every hipster and their mom owns. For a while, I have been wanting to invest in an SLR camera. But, why get a DSLR when the film revolution is taking place? I absolutely detest the Holgas 120 film format; I need to get up with 35mm. Okay, so where is this going? Well, there are tons of SLR cameras out there, and you probably know the more prominent brands like Canon and Nikon. I don't want a 500 huge SLR that I will never figure out how to work. This is when I started looking into the Russian cameras... more specifically, lomographic cameras. Here are my top two:

It feels damn good to be home. This past week in Stone Harbor, NJ was the most relaxing vacation ever. All Liz and I did was lie around, watching people, chillaxing to the fullest. What were my other muchachos doing? They were down in Dewey, DE getting extremely drunk/high/all of the above. I'm sure alot of people did some things they would rather forget, or not. Teenagers are absolutely ridiculous.
